The AuroraMAX project is providing a real-time live feed of the aurora from the Canadian North. Images are updated approximately every 6 seconds during periods of darkness. Yellowknife is the best place in the world to view the aurora borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, with long and clear winter nights from mid-November to late March. The forecast for the next 3 days is as follows:

• Day 1: High chance of aurora activity, with a KP index of 6.
• Day 2: Moderate chance of aurora activity, with a KP index of 4.
• Day 3: Low chance of aurora activity, with a KP index of 2.
